Marie I. Kaiser is a Professor of Philosophy of Science at the University of Bielefeld, Germany. In particular, her work focuses on the concept of reductive explanation in biology, mechanisms, part-whole relations, causal modeling, complex systems, biological individuality, and the methodology of philosophy of science.
