Nancy J. Nersessian is a Regents' Professor of Cognitive Science (Emerita) at the Georgia Institute of Technology, and Research Associate in the Department of Psychology, Harvard University. Her research focuses on creativity, innovation, and conceptual change in science. She tries to understand the cognitive and cultural processes that lead up to scientific innovation, both theoretical and experimental.
