Marcel Weber is Professor of Philosophy of Science and Head of the Department of Philosophy, University of Geneva. He co-edits the general philosophy journal dialectica. His research interests include various philosophical issues in the biological sciences, in particular molecular biology, development, and evolutionary biology. He believes that the most exciting biology is (still) not mathematically formulated and that metaphysics is heuristically useful for advancing debates in philosophy of science.
