Kathrin Koslicki

Kathrin Koslicki is currently Professor of Philosophy and Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Epistemology and Metaphysics in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Alberta. Professor Koslicki is originally from Munich, Germany; she received her undergraduate degree in Philosophy from SUNY Stony Brook in 1990 and her PhD from MIT in 1995. Before joining the University of Alberta Philosophy Department in January 2014, Professor Koslicki held various positions in the US, most recently at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Her interests in philosophy lie mainly in metaphysics, philosophy of language, and ancient Greek philosophy, especially Aristotle. In her monograph, The Structure of Objects (Oxford University Press, 2008), she defends a structure-based, neo-Aristotelian theory of parts and wholes.
